It begins in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where women's cooperatives have been producing argan oil using traditional methods for generations. They harvest by hand, crack the nuts with stones, and cold-press the oil without any industrial shortcuts.

We could've taken the easy route - buy from a supplier, add some fragrances and preservatives, call it "argan oil." Instead, we spent 6 months earning our Ecocert organic certification. We built direct relationships with cooperatives. We committed to paying fair wages.

Why? Because we believe you deserve to know exactly what you're putting on your skin. And the women creating this incredible oil deserve recognition and fair compensation for their expertise.

Let's talk about what "certified organic" really means for your argan oil. 🌿

Arganosa holds two of the world's most rigorous organic certifications:
- NOP (USDA Organic) - United States standard
- EU Organic (Regulation 2018/848) - European Union standard

Both certifications are verified by Ecocert, a globally recognized certification body that's been auditing organic products for over 30 years.

Here's what most people don't know: The cosmetics industry isn't strictly regulated for "organic" claims in many countries. Brands can call their products "organic" or "natural" with minimal oversight. That's why third-party certification matters.

**Why we went through 6 months of certification:**

We could've skipped this. Most argan oil brands do. But we believe transparency isn't optional - it's essential. You deserve to know exactly what you're putting on your skin and hair.

Meeting both NOP and EU standards means we've been audited twice, tested twice, and held to the strictest organic requirements in two of the world's most demanding markets.
