It is here, and only here, that the Argania Spinosa tree naturally grows. Known as the “Tree of Life” by locals, this ancient species has supported communities for centuries—its fruit yielding one of the world’s most precious oils: argan oil.
At Arganosa, we source our oil exclusively from Agadir’s local cooperatives—a region recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve due to its ecological and cultural significance.

More than 80 million years old and can survive over two centuries in harsh, arid climates. Its deep roots help combat desertification, and its branches offer vital shade to local biodiversity. For generations, the indigenous Amazigh (Berber) women have carefully harvested its fruit, cracked each nut by hand, and cold-pressed the kernels into golden oil—a process still done entirely by hand to preserve its integrity.
